If you are a Business Owner that is always feeling like you never have time for YOU; you are not alone. You are always trying to do everything yourself; between making sure your Clients are happy, making sure that all of your business related work is kept up to date, and taking care of your family; you just never have time for yourself. Many Business Owners feel the same way. Now take a moment for yourself, how might you feel? You may feel overwhelmed, stressed, depressed, unaccomplished, or exhausted- all of which can lead to burning out.
As you were reading the first part of this blog, if you were thinking "yup, that's me"; it is time to make a change. It's time to start thinking more about yourself, and how you can make your life easier. YOU ARE IMPORTANT!
Taking Time For YOUR SELF-CARE
You may be so used to not taking time for self-care, that you don't even know where to begin. Take a moment and think of some things that you used to enjoy doing (back when you had more time for you)- it could be going to the spa, going for a run, reading, taking a trip, spending time at the gym, hanging out with Family and/or Friends, or even taking a nap.
Now, start thinking of how you could work towards trying some of those hobbies and taking the time for you. Think of some steps that you could take such as: outsourcing some work, improving your time management, prioritizing work, asking your Employees for help, learning to say NO to work because you're taking on too much at a time. Once you have decided what steps you need to take; start taking those steps, one step at a time.
Making the Change
Once you start making the changes in your business and in your life; you should start to find that the stress should diminish, and you should be starting to feel happier. Just remember, you are not alone in feeling the way you are feeling, and you don't have to be alone in making the changes.
